Internal communication in retail - a cultural change
Cross-departmental and cross-market communication and networking with employees is a major challenge in stationary retail, even in times of digitalisation. For the most part, information is still distributed via posters and flyers or does not even reach where it is actually needed. Toom is reacting to this grievance by introducing an employee app and thus initiating a communicative digital change in the company. With Flip, the 18,000 employees of the toom DIY stores are able for the first time to communicate and network with each other digitally and on the move. The effect of the employee app goes far beyond adapted communication. The app can and will become the heart of knowledge management and at the same time initiate a cultural change, for which the time is now right in stationary trade as well.
